Summer activities in Peel Park

Are you familiar with Peel Park or fancy getting to know one of Salford's great parks better? Here you'll find all there is to offer throughout July until October. There's something for everyone and don't forget you can earn BetterPoints for any walking, running or cycling you do in this park too.

Coming up at Peel Park we have Bat Walks, a History Walk, Wildlife Walks & a range of volunteering tasks

Monday 16th July 4.00pm-6.00pm & Wednesday 15th August 12:15pm-1:45pm Green Fingers 

Come along to help carry out some gardening tasks to help keep our flower beds looking great.

6th August & 3rd September 12:30pm-2:30pm Peel Park Volunteers 

Come along to help with a practical task on the park.

Sunday 15th July 9.00am-12:30 River Clean Up.

Join Mersey Rivers Trust for a clean up of the river.

Monday 16th 6:30-8.00pm July The Friends of Peel Park Meeting

Come along to find out more about the project and events at the park.

New members always welcome.

Saturday 4th 2.00pm-4.00pm August Wildlife Walk 

Join wildlife guide David Winnard from Discover the Wild to spot wildlife around the park and the Meadows.

Wednesday 8th August 8.40am-10.00pm & 7.40am-9.00pm, and Monday 3rd September Bat Walk 

Meet at the entrance to the meadows, Meadow Road, M7 1PA.

Sunday 7th 10.00am-12.00pm October Fungi Forage 

Join expert David Winnard from Discover the Wild to explore the fascinating world of fungi.

M5 4PD Parking available outside Salford Museum & Art Gallery (Charge applies or free parking by the Meadows at the end of Meadow Road M7 1PA then head over the bridge to Peel Park.)
